Cabling Regulations webinar

BICSI Registered Cablers (BRCA), in association with the four other cabling registrars – ACRS, ASIAL, FPAA & TITAB – and International Copper Association (ICAA), hosted an education webinar for registered cablers on Tuesday 8 August.

Entitled ‘The Importance of Applying S009 and Adhering to its Guidelines, the webinar was attended by 100 cabling professionals who sought greater understanding on the technical and commercial application of the mandatory AS/CA S009 standard.

BICSI CEO, Paul Stathis and ICAA Industry consultant, Ian Millner (who both serve on the WC80 committee that wrote the standard) delivered the webinar advocating the benefits of compliance to both consumers and cablers.

The hour-long webinar was recorded so that those who couldn’t attend the live webinar could access the information presented on the day, and is now available to all to view at https://registeredcablers.com.au/articles/webinar-asca-s009/.

Alternatively, the webinar slides on their own can also be accessed without the recording from https://registeredcablers.com.au/articles/webinar-asca-s009/.

This was the first of a series of webinars that are being made available free to all ICT infrastructure professionals, resulting from the survey conducted earlier this year on importance issues the ICT infrastructure industry was encountering at present (see BICSI Bytes article dated 30 June 2023)

The webinars will be held quarterly, with the next one on the topic of ‘Effective Delivery of Wireless Networks” scheduled for mid-November. All Registered Cablers will be invited by their registrar, while other ICT professionals will be invited by their member associations, including BICSI South Pacific.
