BICSI members are part of an industry ‘community’ that collectively works to service its client-base with fit-for-purpose ICT infrastructure. And working collectively means knowledge of the market and its participants – knowing ‘who’s who’ in the industry.
Your BICSI South Pacific membership goes a long way to being ‘connected’ to the industry – an essential part of working successfully in the market – through numerous events.
BICSI members are in all ‘layers’ of the industry’s supply chain – end users, consultants, integrators, installers, distributors, manufacturers, service providers, educators, telcos, regulators and its members These events include annual conferences in Australia and New Zealand, quarterly seminars throughout Australia and New Zealand, annual golf days, local B-Net and B-Quiz meetings, along with social media forums on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
An excellent opportunity to build long-term relationships for yourself and your business is to get involved in BICSI’s community and volunteer programs. BICSI has a range of committees and industry leadership roles that many members participate in, including Director/Board Members; Committee members (Cabling Skills Challenge, Golf Day, Nominating, and Constitutional committees); State/Regional Coordinators; and Conference Volunteers, to name a few.
In addition to BICSI South Pacific’s own industry initiatives, many members also participate as SMEs on Australia and New Zealand Standards Committees, NBN consultation and advisory committees, regulatory committees, government standards committees and industry steering committees, all to advance the value and professionalism of our industry.
Further to this, a number of BICSI South Pacific members participate on BICSI’s global Standards and Design Reference Manual committees, contributing their expertise and guidance to these industry leading documents.
