Congratulations to Stuart Wilson, Managing Director of Bhamtech Data and Electrical in Sydney in recently securing his Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) credential.
We were delighted to hear from Stuart just after he received notification that he passed his exam and was credentialed as a BICSI RCDD.
Stuart was happy to share his ‘journey’ in becoming an RCDD, as motivation for all other ICT professionals to aspire to this achievement. We were eager to share his story as motivation for others to follow, so this is what Stuart says:
“Almost a year ago I was celebrating my first successful year in business and setting goals for the next year. I’m absolutely stoked to say that I’ve just ticked off the biggest of those goals – I’m now officially a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
“It took about a year longer than I’d planned (thanks ‘life’) but given it’s been a 10-year goal, backed with two decades of practical experience, what’s a year?
“Not bad for ‘just a tradie’ – I’ve been told at times that I’m ‘just a tradie’, as though being a tradie is less than. I’m a damned good tradie! I love what I do. I provide great customer service and I operate to the highest ethical standards.
“I’m incredibly proud of being a tradie and running a business that supports my family. And as everyone knows, we’d be lost without competent, ethical trades people.
“But I’ve also spent 15+ years in ICT technical solutions and project management, including as a network engineer in some of our larger financial services organisations.
So I’m excited about what the future holds and the ways I’ll be able to bring all of my experience and credentials together.
