BICSI South Pacific will be chairing and exhibiting at the first Cloud & Datacenter Convention (CDC) in Western Australia, held on Thursday 29 June 2023 at The Crown in Perth; and have secured a limited number of complimentary passes for some of its members to attend.
The event has been produced to look at the opportunities and challenges facing digital infrastructure providers and enterprises across the state, As a result, most of the sessions have been developed specifically for this convention and have not been used before.
The one-day event will run from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, considering these key issues:
- What lies ahead for data centers, cloud and networks in Western Australia? In particular, expert panels will discuss delivering infrastructure to meet the future digital needs of regional industries and communities across the State and preparing data centers for the Era of Connectivity featuring experts from BICSI, CommScope, Equinix and Aurecon
- Panels featuring Fujitsu and Akamai, and Green Square will look respectively at optimising digital infrastructure and managing digital sustainability
- How will the State’s digital infrastructure meet future needs? Expert presentations will look at managing digital infrastructure at distance (Stulz Oceania), at the key considerations for Edge deployments outdoors and in non-traditional IT environments (Rittal) while DCA will consider the role that Edge to Cloud will play in the State’s digital future
- Sessions specific to the key mining industry will include discussion on the technologies most impacting mining including representatives of Perseus Mining and the Mineral Resources Group.
The content sessions will be supported by an exhibition of technology and equipment, meal and refreshment breaks and networking opportunities.
