THE BATTLE CONTINUES:
SINGLE-MODE FIBRE VERSUS MULTI-MODE FIBRE IN DATA CENTRES
Aungwin Tin, AFL
As data centre operators cope with the ever increasing bandwidth demands from 1 gbe to 10 gbe and beyond, careful considerations must be taken with regard to the choice between multi-mode fibre and single-mode fibre infrastructure and connectivity.
This presentation reviews some of the advantages and limitations of multi-mode fibre systems, and cases where singlemode fibre systems presents itself as a viable economical and robust solution
IP PA SYSTEMS
Achint Pal, WGE
With the advent of more integrated services for smart buildings it was only a matter of time the aural senses of the experience joined the club. ip based network public address systems over PoE (power over Ethernet) speakers provide incredible novelty in flexibility of configuration, scalability and security over their predecessors while reducing the cabling and energy infrastructure.
