Speaker: Kimball McHugo, Chief Advisor – Technology in Schools, Ministry of Education (MoE)
The MoE Network Upgrade Program, being run by Network for Learning, aims to advance all NZ schools in digital technologies. The Program will replace all active equipment in schools nationally and update the ICT infrastructure commensurately. Kimball will provide an overview of the Program and outline the latest requirements in the MoE’s ICT cabling standards (now C6a FUTP and Single-mode fibre); and the MoE’s passive optical trials.

Speaker: John Wall CHIA RCDD DCDC, Principal Technical Advisor, Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project, Queensland Health (Australia); and Chair, Queensland Government Cabling Standards Committee
Queensland Health leads Australia in creating Digital Hospitals to address the unique needs of modern healthcare. As the Department’s Principal Technical Advisor on ICT infrastructure, John has been intimately involved in the ICT design philosophy, while providing specialist infrastructure considerations for Healthcare ICT networks. His presentation will provide an overview of the design philosophies, as well as guidance on proper implementation of ICT Infrastructure for dependable delivery of Digital Healthcare.
