BICSI’s 2019 NSW Golf Day returned to the Hunter Valley on Friday 25 November at Cypress Lakes Golf Resort, with 80 players participated in ‘warm’ golfing weather.
Our NSW Golf Day alternates between metro Sydney and the Hunter Valley every two years. Many members keenly anticipate the Golf Day in the Hunter Valley, as it gives them a chance to get away from the hectic Sydney environment for a day, or even make a weekend of it to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Others bring their “significant others” along to tour some of the local vineyards, while they play golf. Given the 37 degree weather at this year’s Golf day, the women on the winery tours were the smart ones, as you’ll see in their photos on our web site at https://www.bicsi.com.au/new-south-wales-golf-day-2019/
That’s not to say the golfers didn’t have just as good a day. In spite of the heat, the course was in exceptional condition. And there was plenty of shade throughout the course, along with a breeze all day that made playing golf very enjoyable.
The all-important results:
- 1stplace Siemon team #2 made up of Robyn Low, Josh Doust, Brad Nicholas and Craig Bush
- 2nd place L&H team #2 made up of John Gavin, Wayne Buckley, Jeff Beavis and B Diana
- 3rdplace B&R Enclosure team #1 made up of Greg Beatty, Ross Brennan, Murray Hooper and
Equally important was the generosity of our players and sponsors, enabling $2,000 to be donated to a local charity that provides community support for those struggling with mental health.
Thanks once again to all the teams, sponsors for making this year’s event another great success. And thanks especially to Ian Russell from R&M and Tanya Langridge from Pacific Datacom for their energy and drive to ensuring the success of our event.
