BICSI B-Quiz in Brisbane a Great Industry Event

The BICSI B-Quiz, held in on Thursday 20 August at the Pineapple Hotel in Brisbane, was BICSI’s first physical event in five months, since COVID-19 forced the cancellation of BICSI conferences, golf days and seminars.

Organised by BICSI’s Queensland coordinator, Craig Buckingham RCDD, some 56 BICSI members and industry colleagues came together and had a fabulous time at the Pineapple Hotel grappling with trivia questions over a few drinks and a lot of conversations, many catching up with industry for the first time in months.

Craig made sure everyone followed the COVID-19 sanitising, social-distancing and contact detail requirements and “gave the bar tab the kicking it deserved.” Not sure what you meant by “kicking” Craig – must have something to do with the alcohol content of the hand-sanitiser.

The very next day, the feedback from participants was very positive:

  • Team sponsor Watalec: “We had a cracker night and really appreciated the efforts in pulling it all together. Fantastic job.”
  • Team sponsor Siemon: “Great turnout. Great night, really enjoyed it.”
  • Team sponsor Rittal: “Thanks again for a terrific night. Craig’s host skills were exemplary, you obviously put a lot of work in – great effort and a big thanks from everyone on Rittal table. Such a great event, I’m sure we’ll be keen to be in it next year.”

We’re sure the COVID-19 restrictions has given everyone an incredible appetite to socialise. We’re glad BICSI Queensland members came out in droves to make the B-Quiz night such a successful event. Congratulations to everyone involved.
