Brendon’s experience covers 38 years in Senior management, Technical roles and Consultancy in the Radio and Telecommunications industry as a subject matter expert (SME) in Electromagnetic Energy (EME) in wireless technologies in various specialist technical roles. Brendon is currently working with Aurecon as an Associate (SME) in wireless technologies, Managing there EME team in Advisory and Telecommunications.
He is currently a member of Standards Australia and an active committee member.

Farukh Aslam is a commercial real estate developer based in Texas focusing in hotels, office buildings and upscale apartments. In 1999, he started in Telecom infrastructure and focused on VoIP when it was still in its infancy. At that time, he started a company that became Asia’s 3rd largest FTTH network with over 800 employees. Lately his focus is ‘Digital Buildings’ and IoT in commercial applications. He has deployed PoE to power and support lighting and building infrastructure such as video surveillance and access control, working with companies including LG, Electric Mirror and Somfy to pioneer PoE for large-screen TVs, motorized window shades, digital mirrors, and hotel mini-bars, to name a few.

He has served in various roles from lineman, to installer/technician, to designer, to holding management positions in construction and engineering, and now as OSP/ISP Engineering Group Lead for Black & Veatch Telecommunications, a global engineering company and the number one-ranked U.S. telecommunications engineering company (Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 500 Design Firms report).

Eager to begin her engineering career, Julia began working as an undergrad work at Arup. After graduating in November 2007, she started as a graduate ICT Engineer at SKM (now Jacobs). In mid-2016, she accepted a role as a Senior Telecommunications Engineer at Wood and Grieve Engineers.
Julia has undertaken roles in engineering design, commissioning, workshop facilitation, project management and committee membership. In both technical and management roles, she focused on client satisfaction and team cohesion and development.
Lawrence is the founder of Cumarsáid, an ICT engineering firm. Over the last 30 years. Lawrence has worked for Queensland Rail, Project Services (QLD Dept of Works), SKM/Jacobs and Wood & Grieve Engineers; conducting ICT projects in all jurisdictions for both government and private sectors. Lawrence’s engineering experience includes voice networking, telecommunication and transmission networks, Structured Cabling designs, WANs, CANs, LANs, Audio-visual systems, security systems, and various radio communication systems, WLANs and WWANs and other ICT systems.
Furthermore, Lawrence is actively involved in Standards committees.

Professor Majid Sarvi is the director of Transport Technology program at the University of Melbourne. He is the founder and director of the Australian Integrated Multimodal EcoSystem (AIMES). AIMES is a world first; a grid mapped with smart sensors to test emerging, multimodal connected large-scale transport technologies in a complex urban environment. Through AIMES, Majid is bringing the transport network together, collaborating with more than 50 domestic and international partners from industry and government . AIMES’ key objective is to deliver safer, more efficient and sustainable transport solutions for all road users to enable smarter cities to thrive.

Dr. Neil Silke
Data Centre CFD
Neil Silke is a Director at DataCentreCFD Pty Ltd. Neil gained his PhD in 2001 using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to model Coanda Ejectors at Birmingham University in the UK. Since then his career has seen him apply CFD modelling in a variety of fields including Building Services and Electronics. Data Centres offer a unique challenge to the industry in which rapidly changing IT equipment must be supported by a building with an expected life-span of 10 years or more.
Since 2004 Neil has worked primarily in a consultancy role using CFD to model Data Centres, whether it be in the design phase, or indeed in an existing Data Centre.

Paul Stathis is the CEO of BICSI South Pacific, an industry association addressing the interests of IT and telecommunications infrastructure professionals.
Paul has been involved in the communications, IT infrastructure and building services industries for 30 years, in a variety of roles that include design and project management at consulting engineering firms; sales, marketing and product development in cabling manufacturing firms and fire service providers; and as an editor for a publishing company.
Paul holds an Engineering Degree in electronics and a Graduate Diploma in Business.
Peter is one of Australia`s leading technology integration, convergence and net-centric experts. Peter is an award-winning solutions designer with a career that spans 25+ years in the audio visual, communications, security, and lighting industries. Michael Withford holds several patents and has published over 150 refereed journal papers and several hundred conference papers. He is an OSA Fellow, SPIE Fellow, IAPLE Fellow and member of BICSI.

Richard is also the Chair of BICSI South Pacific.

Rohan has a diverse professional background over the past ten years as a Licensed Surveyor/Land development consultant. His role is multi-faceted, ensuring the needs of the company are met, without costly expenditure to outside consultants, which is important in a cost conscious environment. On any given day, Rohan can be conversing and negotiating with clients, consultants and local authorities; quoting for major and minor projects; dealing with outstanding debtors and ensuring all staff safety meetings are undertaken and followed through.
Sally McDow is one of Australia’s leading culture and reputation experts with in-depth legal, corporate governance and whistleblowing program expertise. Sally has 20 years’ experience managing culture, reputation whistleblowing, risk and compliance issues across multiple sectors in Australia, North America, the Cayman Islands and Europe and has worked on international regulatory investigations relating to Sarbanes Oxley, Bribery and Corruption and Anti Money Laundering.

Since joining JB Hunter, Shane has been responsible for some exciting projects, such as the development of the nbn HFC training portfolio and seeing JB Hunter become the only BICSI Authorized Design Training Provider in the southern hemisphere.

Stephen is a Senior Systems Engineer with Mist (a Juniper company) in ANZ, with broad experience in enterprise networking across various verticals.
He is Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) #276 and a Certified Wireless Network Trainer (CWNT). Stephen also holds a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Information & Telecommunications Engineering.
He has enjoyed various roles in mining & energy companies, Dimension Data (now NTT Ltd), Ekahau Wireless Design and most recently with Cisco as the wireless technical lead for ANZ.
Verghese began his career in the Australian telecommunications industry where he advanced through the ranks of senior professional and management positions. He worked in corporate safety and environment, business unit risk management, carrier facilities access and building services design and construction delivery. He was accountable for delivering the critical building infrastructure core to some of the largest network rollouts seen in Australia’s Telco industry.
Since establishing FMevolution in 2007, Verghese has continued to design and manage the delivery of world-leading data centres for clients such as Woolworths, Pacnet (now Telstra), DXC.technology, Metronode and AirTrunk.
